Hi
Since the latest update on my S10plus I keep getting a notification about Gear VR not being supported and to uninstall it, I press uninstall but it just lists Facebook stuff and says done, but then I have to update Facebook and log in etc, then the next morning the message that it is not supported is back. Anybody know how to get rid of this please?

You can soft reset your Samsung Galaxy S10 phone to fix minor issues with the device — this turns the phone off and back on again. To perform a soft reset on your Galaxy S10, press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons. Do not release the power button, the device restarts. I tried this already and the Gear Vr pop up still came back.

I have found that once the Gear VR error comes up, you can click on the uninstall button and then cancel the uninstallion. The Gear VR pop up goes away and you can use messenger. Not a solution, but it's better than reinstalling Messenger.

It just came through on sn auto update. I didn't do anything other than instal it. I'd actually given up on it being fixed anytime soon and was just prepared to ignore it. But it's not come back since the update 2 days ago.

OK. But is it sustainable?? Please keep us posted, as we are many that thought we fixed, just to realise that it reoccurred ....

I still get the Gear VR pop up after two soft resets in a row. I have had no software updates since Android 12 on Jan. 25/2022.

It's come back on mine now. Thought it had gone for good after the second update but no, back to square one.

Noticed this when I did the update to android 12 on my s10e, since then had 2 updates and it's still the same. I just slide the notification and don't do anything. I think before this wasn't possible (to slide it and ignore) but now you can do that, but it still pops up.
