I've recently purchased a Samsung S21 and use my fingerprint to unlock and use my phone.
However, I have forgotten the lock screen pattern which is needed if I were to switch the phone off/on.
My fear is that if my phone were to be reset of turned off, it would become inaccessible.
Any ideas on how I can change/remove the pattern?

Sadly this option isnt possible anymore. After an update my samsung s22 doesnt recognize my pattern lock anymore so im stuck with it. Factory reset is not really an option for, too much value in the phone.
Really dissapointed that they removed the option.
What also really dissapointing is why nobody at Samsung, an engineer or something, can fix this for their customers, especially because its something thats not our fault. Gotta do something to help the customers Samsung...

Hey Im in the same spot. My phone pattern of 2 years is not working anymore and Ive tried everything. I know Samsung can unlock it themselves without doing a factory reset so why cant the customers prove its theirs and have it unlocked for them? This is very very very poor policy in 2024 Im actually done with them after this phone. Wont touch a Samsung product after this.
