failed to send text message

hi all 

not had this before... noticed that it seemed to be some sort of secure message, due to padlock symbol

...is that a new a13 feature? .... and assume it needs data on to send 

.... seemed to send ok after selecting use sms

ahh i see... new chat feature
... can it be turned off? ... so just using normal sms style

If its the chat feature. You can go into settings - connections - more connections settings and toggle off rich communications. Or open messages tap the 3 dots, click on settings - chat settings - toggle chat feature off. You do need to be connected to WiFi or mobile data for chat features to send.

@danx55 There are options in chat settings if not delivered, Resend as text/multimedia, do not resend or Ask before Resending. If you want to use exclusively text toggle chat Features off.
