Hi all can anyone tell me if it's worth installing the Google messages and it keeps asking me to update to Google instead of messages I use to receive texts on

Sometimes like it and some don't @alienkarper

Personally ive just dismissed the pop up asking me to swap and keep on using Samsung Messages.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Coming from using various android brand phones for many years I've got used to Google messages. That said it's each to their own. There's really not a great deal if difference.

If you don't want to then don't update, Samsung messages has just been updated and is now available from the Galaxy Store once again note not Google play store.

@alienkarper  As samsung Messages has been updated looks like it will be fine to use for a little while yet.  Personally I prefer  Samsung Messages and have continued its use,, I did try Google Messages for short time a while ago  but felt it was not for me though likely would get used to it if needed.

A comparison of the two apps is shown here https://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/google-messages-vs-samsung-messages/#dt-heading-google-messages...

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Good to know that Samsung Messages has had a reprieve. I'll swap back in that case, though the difference is pretty minimal.
