I have an S21 Ultra. Worked beautifully for the last year. Updated this morning, and screen will not accept taps, so basically it is bricked. There are HUNDREDS of people with the same problem. I have re-installed firmware with Odin and still screen is non functional.

This is a way of Samsung forcing you to get a new phone. Apple did the same with their battery life.

Its the way big business work and they should all be disgusted with themselves.

Never again will I buy ANY samsung product. EVER.

We all need to think about a class action.

UPDATE: And Samsung have promoted me to student!!!WTF! I'd rather they sent me a new bloody phone!!!

 

NEW UPDATE: And now, thanks to all the replies/views from you lovely people, I have been promoted to Apprentice!! Samsung WTF...just sort out a solution for God sake!!!

Along with a lot of others I've had the exact same issue with my s21 ultra. It seems to just be happening with the s21 series.
If you're under warranty they can replace the screen for you but if not, like me, then I think we're ***** out of luck and will have to fork out for a new LCD screen.
Would love some kind of accountability or answers from samsung as it's no coincidence that all our phones bricked out after that update.

Hey there. Sorry to hear of your troubles. There have been a few posts over the last few months about similar issues and I haven't seen a fix other than pushing Samsung Customer Service with varying degrees of success.

For myself, if Samsung won't acknowledge the issue, I would raise a claim in the Small Claims Court for the value of the device today (search recycling sites to get an idea). Samsung unlikely to contest and if enough people were to do it, maybe they would sit up and listen.

Again for myself, I have been debating getting a new TV. Now I know Samsung sell millions of TVs but the horror stories on here combined with an understanding of poor quality control......
So I got a new TV today. From LG.

This is the only way to make Samsung sit up and listen.

I think if the OP had any sort of warranty intact, then it is now void as they've used ODIN to flash the firmware.

No issue on mine and I installed it over a month ago now. It's strange how mine is immune to this obvious software fault.

My S21 updated a week ago and same issue, NO TOUCHSCREEN AT ALL! I'm on a desktop and using a mouse on my phone. I've tried all kinds of resets, wipe cache, app updates, etc.

I've had an error report logged for a week as well with no response. Do they even check them???

My phone is an Amazon Renewed, out of the 90 day warranty. Had no idea that they may have used a non-Samsung part. Still not sure that's the issue since a lot of people have brand new phones from Samsung and even the newer model phones have had the same issue over the past year.

 

Fix this Samsung!!!!

Same here, I have nothing but Samsung electronics throughout my home.  But I will never purchase another Samsung again.
