Can't connect to WiFi

I'm on holiday in France. My S21 FE 5G won't connect to the Wifi. My kindle will, and x14 other people's phones do. It did for the first 24hrs and now won't. I've switched it on and off multiple times. I've also done the hard reset via General Management. The support from Vodafone was to visit a shop when I get back - not helpful. I can toggle to connect to WiFi, but it shows a lighter blue and not the deep blue 'connecting'. It then doesn't pick up any of the x3 WiFi networks - shows literally nothing. Any ideas would be amazing !!!! Thank you 🙏

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Forum

Reset network settings

Won't lose data but will have to input WiFi passwords again.

My device is an S25 Ultra.

Hi 👋. Thanks. I did try this already, but did do it again.

No difference I'm afraid 😔.

Any other ideas?

Ok so it would be helpful when posting questions if you let us know what you've already tried.

The WiFi services you are trying to connect to, are they paid for or do you have to sign in to them? Have you done this?

Thanks, but that was what I referred to in my original post. The WiFi service I just need to sign into them. It worked for a couple of hours when I arrived about a week ago, and now I'm just working using roaming data...

@LouC1407: Please try restarting your S21 FE 5G in Safe Mode, as this will disable all third party apps, and help to determine if the problem is stemming from an external source.

To enter Safe mode, press and hold the Power button until the 'Power off' prompt appears on the screen then release > Touch and hold Power off until the 'Safe mode' prompt appears then release > To confirm, tap Safe mode.

With Safe mode active, head back to Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi > On. If you find that you're able to populate the network list, and connect to an available Wi-Fi network, then please restart your phone as you would normally and uninstall any apps that you have added to the device since you first encountered the issue. It won't be possible to determine exactly which app is at fault, therefore I recommend approaching this via a process of elimination.

Sounds to me like you may have got a little bit of free WiFi, maybe for a day, then either you have to pay for more at your venue or have to sign in again,

Hey @AndrewL, thanks for that suggestion. I thought we might have the answer, but I've gone through to Safe Mode and it still won't connect to WiFi. It's not a paid WiFi, and x14 other people + my kindle can get onto it (without paying), so that's not the issue. I've then deleted any apps that I've either downloaded, or are providing too many alerts / taking too much memory, still no WiFi 😔. It's not even scanning and finding the x3 WiFi networks...
