Anyone else's type c cable not recognised by computers/laptops. Its driving me mad. I need it to transfer files. Grrr!! 
Anyone got same problem!! 
Has anyone resolved it

It's never been a problem. PCs don't recognise a cable, they recognise the device attached to it. Do you have Samsung USB drivers installed?

@Sardz06: Have you tried all available USB inputs on the PC/laptop to ensure that the issue isn't stemming from the port? Is the cable still recognised when you charge the phone using your wall socket adapter?

There are two types of usb cables. Charging or data transfer..the more expensive USB cables are both. Original Samsung USB cables and manufacturers like Anker are both but you pay more for them.

to solve this

simply install Smart Switch app to your PC

no need to use or open  the app

the app contains drivers of your  Samsung device

hence be detected by PC, regardless of cable type used 

 

for Windows

 

for Mac
