Some of my apps dont work

I was in and out of apps as I usually do, logged into my PayPal by mistake so closed it and pressed my Halifax but every time I pressed it nothing happened. Went on a few different apps and also did the same. I managed to get on my Halifax by uninstaling and adding again but it's done it again. Please help is my phone compromised because is seems to be apps with extra security or am I being paranoid 

EDIT...... if you go to Google play and uninstall webview it should sort itself out. Worked for me 🙂

I have a Samsung A41 and the same thing is happening to me. cant access any apps and my email app is not working either. have had the phone since last November and have not been able to do one upgrade. please help someone.

same happening to me with some apps, eg Fitbit, audible, outlook. Help😩

go to settings, then to apps, then to web view, then android system web view, then app details in store options, then update,  worked for me

Same here...been pending for an hour!

Tried all of the above suggestions...still no luck...especially annoying is the Ring security app not working or email 🙄

There is nothing in my apps search called websearch or anything similar. Also chrome is fully updated and still doesn't work. Can't use anything Google and almost all apps still not working 😕

For the last 24 hours my apps have been crashing as soon as I open them, I've been advised to update Google Chrome and Android system webview, but neither are updating, either through settings or through Play store. 

What's the point of having a Smartphone if it's not so smart?

Have Galaxy a21 and most of the apps won’t open, although some do.

Have tried Android system web view update , but it just says pending so still have problem, any ideas please
