Some of my apps dont work

I was in and out of apps as I usually do, logged into my PayPal by mistake so closed it and pressed my Halifax but every time I pressed it nothing happened. Went on a few different apps and also did the same. I managed to get on my Halifax by uninstaling and adding again but it's done it again. Please help is my phone compromised because is seems to be apps with extra security or am I being paranoid 

EDIT...... if you go to Google play and uninstall webview it should sort itself out. Worked for me 🙂

uninstall android system webview . i had same problem yesterday. mine is working fine since I did that

Open settings, app, chrome, click on disable.
Go to play store, webview, click on update which now should be showing.
Go back to settings, apps, chrome and click on enable.
Everything should now be working OK

Just managed to update Android system webview via Play Store, version ending '105', after hours of 'pending' & happy to report email is working & no messages flashing up.  Good luck with your issue. Hope this helps.

I have the same problem on my Galaxy A40 phone. Several apps keep stopping and some don't open when tapping on the icon.
