Samsung messages - Getting a message to upgrade to Google Messages?

Today, 2nd December, when opening the Samsung Messages app I am getting a message asking me to upgrade to Google Messages app. Seems the end of Samsung Messages planned closure is getting nearer.

Same and i refuse to allow google messages even to be installed in my phone i hate google

its why i been a samsung customer for over a decacde. I dont want anything privatr being in a google oenef app they are invasice and only other option is Apple which is worse provacy and affordable wise. So buy samsung cause i cam use samsung apps for messafes. and storage. (i moved all my cloud ro my laptops external hd's cause I wont ever entrust google with my peivate stuff ever again after they caused me severe trauma invading my privacy years back and ****** up my entire life with their vs lack od respecting my privacy.  so ***** that ill never use lr agree to allow google messges of drive ony phone NEVER. ill sue samsung of they even ever tey putting it back on my phone ever again. i do  lt agree to allow them to force fl ony device i dont trust google period.  I do wish there was a 3rd better option honestly

I had been getting the "upgrade" message last year and then all of a sudden they stopped. Today I got one again. I am not at all happy about it. First, I hate Google Messages. It has a terrible interface and it is harder to use. Second, because of its interface, switching from Samsung Messages to Google Message is not an upgrade to me, but a downgrade. It is going from a superior product to an inferior product. Now I know Google Messages has RCS,which Samsung Messages does not have, but I have no need of RCS. I really wish Samsung would just leave those of us who want to continue using Samsung Messages alone.

As soon as I have the ability to delete Samsung Messages App I will move over to Google messages. As a rule I do not to keep apps with duplicate functions on my phone. So Samsung its up to you for the next steps!!

How do you disable Google messages? I don't see an option to do this. I want to keep using my samsung messenger and not keep getting prompted to upgrade to Google.  Or I  want to use Google messages but not log in to google account.

i refuse to download it or switch.  samsyng message will remain my default ill never support or allow google message peruod as my default NEVER!

i keep dismossing and getting garassed every 5 days im.ready ro sue Samsung for allowing this harassment!
