Samsung Health doesn't read body composition data from Withings/Health Connect

For some reason, Samsung Health doesn't show the body composition data (body fat%, bone, muscle) from Withings which is synced to Health Connect. However it shows the data from other apps synced to Health connect, just not Withings. I checked Health connect and the data is there and other apps correctly read it.

Hi there, Ama here, i did some research on this and can see you are not the only one experiencing similar issues. Perhaps follow these troubleshooting tips after identifying the root cause. Most commonly being with the Withings app.

Verify Health Connect Permissions: Ensure Samsung Health has the necessary permissions to read body composition data from Health Connect.

Open the Health Connect app.

Tap "App permissions" under "Permissions and data."

Locate Samsung Health and confirm all relevant permissions for body composition data are enabled.

Check for App Updates: Outdated versions of Samsung Health or Withings Health Mate (or the Withings scale's firmware) can cause sync issues. Ensure all are up-to-date.

Resync or Reconnect: Try unlinking and relinking Withings within Health Connect, and potentially disconnect and re-add Samsung Health to Health Connect. This can sometimes re-establish a proper data flow.

Withings Scale Settings: Double-check that impedance measurement and body composition screens are activated on your Withings scale through the Health Mate app, as incorrect scale settings can prevent the data from being generated or sent correctly in the first place.

Consider Withings Support: As this is a specific integration issue, contacting Withings Customer Support directly is recommended for personalized troubleshooting, as they can investigate your setup and sync behavior.

Hello, I can confirm that Withings app correctly saves Body fat and other related body composition data to Health connect. Other app that read from Health connect also can read that info. Samsung Health does have access to Health Connect, as I stated before it even shows body fat data from other apps through Health Connect.

The issue lies in Samsung Health and I can assure you that it's not a user error. I double checked all settings and everything is allowed and correctly saved in Health Connect.
