Version 6.1.91.13

After latest update app is always on and continually syncing automatically.

Please remove this feature and restore to previous version

You have to see if the Email process is running in the background. Go to list of open apps and in the top left it will probably say

"1 active in background"

When you click it, it will be the Email process.  So swiping it out only gets rid of the icon on top, but doesn't solve the issue. 

Even if you stop the process, it will restart in a minute... 

Samsung please fix what you broke 2 days ago!

I was also having the same issue with Samsung Email running in the background constantly. Recently started right after the update. I did a temporary fix by uninstalling the app and installing the version right before this newest one. I am not updating the app until it is updated again and fixed. You can download the APK at the link below.

The newest version that is bugged is 6.1.91.13

Just done it - many thanks for link So used to Samsung email app over the years, the others don't cut it.

No problem. Definitely a problem with their newest update. Just don't update the older version until you know it's fixed. Glad I was able to help you.

Yep just checked updates and update is there and never to be ticked 😆

I think it's a bug that has infected many phones since the app update in the last few days as everything was fine till most of us updated the Samsung email app, many posts of this thread on here.
