S23 ultra only showing icons on lock screen not notifications

How do I get my new s23 ultra to show notifications on lock screen rather than just icons that I have to tap?

Just upgraded and it's a major pain in the butt having to click the icon

There must be a setting to revert this to how it's been on all other phones 

Can someone please help me

Yes you can change it all, will try to explain best as I can. Go to settings click on lock screen. Then edit it will show you your lock screen click on the icons and a menu should come up click on details then it should come up like normal. If you get stuck reply to me and will post screen shots

Yes very good. Now when I go back to the lock screen the icon I have chosen are now different. When I change them back, an hour later their different again? How do I fix that?

As youve seen i can only view 1 notification like this. What do i need to do to view all my notifications on my lock screen.

I'm hoping somebody can help with this. I have been using message plus for years now but Verizon is discontinuing it so we have to switch over to Native Google messaging apps.  I can't get notifications on my lock screen where I can see the text message or anything like that.. only the shape of the icon that I then have to open up my phone to look at. I have everything turned on that I should need turned on to let this happen but it still isn't working.. hoping somebody can help

@Nightkap: If you tap on the Messages icon that appears on your Lock screen, then this will expand your drop down notification panel, and the contents of the message will be visible here. I hope this helps.
