The new One UI 7 update is the worst update of all time. Here are the main problems with it:

  • The top panel is now split into two parts, which is confusing.

  • The search bar on the home screen is now at the bottom instead of the top.

  • The settings menu is harder to understand, and some settings don’t work at all.

  • I can’t see notifications on the lock screen anymore.

  • The music player on the lock screen is now at the bottom, which is uncomfortable.

  • App icons look worse and not nice.

  • Widgets are too small and less useful.

Please let me go back to One UI 6. It was much better and easier to use.

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community!

It takes 2 seconds to Google most of these...

The search bar can't be moved -

If you simply press on the music icon (music cover) on the lock screen, it expands.
The swipe down can be changed.

Widgets can be changed - hold down and expand as you want.

UI7 Tip - Quick panel back to before UI7 / similar / combine both panels

Other notes about UI7:

Have a gander here:

*Saying some settings "don't work" is pointless if you're not specific.

*It's not possible to revert back to UI6. It's a different Android version altogether.

There isn't a search bar on the home screen unless you use the Google search widget. This can be placed anywhere. The search bar in the app draw isn't movable. The search bar placement in the app draw wasn't done by Google. The search bar in the pixel launcher app draw is at the top. One Ui home is Samsung's custom launcher so search bar placement and how it works and looks is all Samsung not Google.

You can go back to OneUI 6.1. If you want to lose the warranty, so that Samsung apps don't work, so that bank apps don't work, then feel free to root your phone, but you won't find instructions on how to root your phone here. By rooting, you risk various malicious attacks on your phone.

Hi

Thanks for the respond

What I meant by the music icon is that when you play a song you see the song that you are playing below clock on the locked screen. I was used to it being right below the clock, but now it's at the bottom of my screen, and it looks bad

About the widgets — I meant that some of them are smaller, and I can't change their size. For example, I have a widget that's 2x2, but it looks really small, and that bothers me a bit.

Also, I didn’t express myself clearly when I said some settings didn’t work. I just had to restart my phone, and now they work. However, the settings still seem a bit more confusing than before, but I think I’ll get used to it.

But I fix the issue of the Quick panel thanks to you so I wanted to thank you for that.
