My 21 ultra started having issues finding network coverage, last week, I thought was nothing much, but as days went on it got worse. Been to Vodafone changed sim and worked for short period and back to emergency calls only. I called up Vodafone and they had to disconnect and reconnect my sim and suprise still not fixed issue. So Vodafone say is mobile issue, I inserted my sim into an old phone suprise it works fine, I don't want todo reset as it may not sort issue as I've seen alot people on here saying never worked! Phones paid of since June 31st, and not wanting fling money into getting it fixed case doesn't solve anything! Plus ano can back up my data etc. But ano il lose my messages from my mum who passed away. Am not risking it, anyone had same issues

Hi, and welcome to the community.

First, can you try a reset

Settings>general management>reset>reset all settings.

If that doesn't help, then try a hard reset

With the phone powered up, Hold Volume down and Power buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds. Screen will go off. Continue to hold buttons until the phone vibrates and the Samsung logo appears. Release buttons. The phone will reboot. Once done, please check if the issue is resolved.

Finally, if that doesn't help, then unfortunately, you need to bite the bullet and try a full factory reset. Back up your device using Smartswitch.

Thanks. I understand your reluctance to try any trouble shooting methods given, and I appreciate that it's up to you how you want to proceed. The only other option would be to visit a local Samsung experience store and let staff have a look at it.

Im more reluctant to do any reset due my mum passing away. Even backing up whatsapp not all chats will save. And am not losing last messages. They mean so much more 2 me than anything

In that case, I'd definitely perform a full backup. Your device won't last forever, and it would be awful if you could no longer get access to your phone.
I appreciate that there are horror stories out there regarding failed backups, but rest assured they are rare, and the successes far outweigh them.

The Very same thing has started happening at my home with my 2yr Old s21Ultra &  from all enquiries, besides powering my home WiFi/WiFi caling whilst at home, have to accept that this is not repairable & to purchase a new phone, like you, I don't want to spend the $$$ on a model that may do the same thing in 2yrs, I treat my phone as part of me & there's no reason or cause 4this, just started getting worse just after going off contract with Optus,  although even with a new carrier, sim & optimisation test, saying Great condition* alas has made no change to my reception issues 🤔
