Problem installing Smart Switch

I've just bought a new Galaxy Tab A9+, and want to transfer settings from my old Galaxy Tab A (2019 model). I'm trying to install Smart Switch on the old tablet, as instructed, but for the last half an hour it has been stuck on a screen saying: "Installing Smart Switch...Waiting for other apps to install".

At what point should I give up with this process?

@itm60: If the problem persists, you may wish to try heading to Settings > Accounts and backup > Samsung Cloud > Back up data > Settings (toggle this on) > Back up now. 

Now, when you register the same Samsung account to your Tab A9+, the settings will automatically be applied from your old tablet. Alternatively, you can head to Accounts and backup > Samsung Cloud > Restore data, and restore the settings from here.

Thanks. In the end I closed the app, went to the Play Store and re-opened it from there. It then worked as expected
