Since the update with the new interface(its been some time) spotify doesnt have the same lockscreen feature as before

Here is an example for before where you would tap the song name(which is in place of the clock)and the cover art for the album would show up







Now its really not the same and it makes me miss the old feature(example below)





Question is can I do anything to bring back the old lockscreen spotify?

The best thing I can suggest is to contact Spotify. Perhaps it's meant to work but there's a problem with the app.
