@Members_BwTYSgi: I certainly appreciate where you're coming from, as this seems to be a point of contention for people who have recently switched to One UI 7, and are used the the interface looking a certain way. In some instances, such as the Quick panel / Notification panel, this can be reverted to the single swipe option found in previous Android versions, so this is evidence that the developers are trying, where possible, to accommodate users who prefer that interface. The repositioning of the search bar in the Apps screen seems to be tailored towards people that use their phone one handed and couldn't reach the top of the screen with their thumb. It's a case of not being able to please all the people all the time, but I do agree that further customisation options would be welcomed. I think that, with time, tapping the bottom of the screen to search will become second nature, so I hope that the changes aren't too off putting for you in the long run. Rest assured that the developers will be listening to user feedback, and this will likely be reflected in future updates.
Just because the search bar is at the bottom of the app draw on Google phones doesn't mean it's hard coded in android. Samsung uses it's own custom launcher OneUi home. It's a totally different launcher to Google launcher. There are many custom launchers that allow the search bar to be placed at the top or the bottom or even removed altogether. So Samsung should be able to offer the option. The launcher needs rework anyway as it should be able to offer vertical or horizontal with the apps being sorted alphabetically. It would also be better if it opened at the beginning of the app list rather than the last place an app was launched from. See screenshot of the app drawer using nova launcher on Android 15 OneUi 7.
