Gmail doesn't delete email on S23 Ultra

Hey guys there seems issues with Gmail app and s23 ultra. Google say the update is fine but my email cannot be deleted when using my S23 Ultra. Ha e tried on my iPad and laptop all good

I'm not seeing any issues on my S23 Ultra
Maybe try clearing the cashe in the app.
If you are experiencing difficulties with other things
Wiping the Partition Cache on the phone may help

I use Gmail, In settings I changed the swipe left or right from archive to delete. The default is archive which is a nuisance. Not sure if it's same issue but hope it helps

But do you use an S23 Ultra?  There is not a swipe setting anywhere in my settings and I've chatted with tech support. It's like they're looking at different opine layout than I am.

Yes mine is an S23 Ultra. When in Gmail click the burger menu at top left, click settings, click general settings , then click swipe actions. You change settings there. It's settings in Gmail not phone settings. I hope this helps

I feel your pain OP. It took me a minute to figure it out myself. So go to your Gmail app and click the 3 lines and go to settings. When it asks you to choose which account you want to use, don't choose an account. Instead click on General Settings. Then halfway down the screen is the swipe settings. Hope this actually helps people like us who had to read through 100 explanations that do not apply to people with multiple accounts to choose from.
