Gallery people person face recognition broken after update to UI 7.0

After I updated my ZFlip6 to UI 7.0 the people/person/face recognition in the Gallery app is broken. 

It does not recognize faces any more. There is only one pet being recognized - no persons. 

Note that I have many of my albums synchronized with onedrive. 

What is funny is that when I looked for persons the first time after the update, I could very shortly see the different recognized persons, which then disappeard immediately and since then, I only see the pet ... 

I already cleared cache and data of the gallery app. I have already tried the 80% battery solution - did not work for me. 

I appreciate the many new AI features, most of which I am not really using. I would prefer if these basis and indeed useful features would just work ...

This is a disappointment. I hope there will be a solution or fix soon.

Mine too. I was trying to find photos of specific person and I just realized I can't do that anymore. Can somebody help, if it's not available anymore or there's some other way to do it?

I have the same problem and it's driving me crazy right now, I use it everyday.

I have a different problem, but with the same software and UI 7.0 update. The gallery app has suddenly started finding 'new' faces, over one hundred of them, except that many or most of these are faces that had already been recognized. For example, if I look at the photos where my face has been 'recognized', my daughter's face appears constantly, hundreds of times, labelled as me. When I slide up on the image to reveal the list of people recognized, there there are frequently two copies of the same face, labelled with different names. This is occurring throughout my photo collection of several thousand slides and has completely destroyed the usability of face recognition on my phone. THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM.

Mine too not recognised anymore...
