GALLERY not recognising faces in PHOTOS

Hi my S21 Fe is not recognising faces in gallery since 2023. Software is up to date.

Has this feature stopped working?

I don't think so, @Ysiefleo3! I have a Samsung Galaxy s21+, so they shouldn't be too different - my camera works just fine and recognises faces with ease.

These may help:


Clearing cache

Making sure your entire phone is up to date (regular software updates)

Also, make sure the app in specific is updated regularly

As far as I'm aware, it's in the Play Store like all the other apps. I think there are also other ways of figuring out which apps need updating 🤔

Personally I wouldn't use gallery for sorting out albums and would use Google photos; it use AI and is lots easier to navigate. Anyway, I'm sorry for not answering your question
