Samsung Gallery - I have proper messed it up

So i was casually shifting photos from a folder, by selecting loads and then a simple move to folder... I do this daily as housekeeping.

Anyway this time the folder i shift media from my Camera folder to, To Post, I some how dragged too far, using the swipe over to select allot of media in one go.

So now the To Post folder has taken over and replaced my Camera folder, it seems both folders still exist, as I thought I would take a new picture to get Gallery to bring back to root Camera folder (worked), the i tried to move files and creat a new Folder called, To Post, but it says it exists???

Anyway ideas please 🙏

You don't by any chance take weekly smart switch backups?

Restoring one would be the easy solution.


For the folder existing thing. Use a pc not the phone file viewer. A pc can usually access more files than the phone itself can

Thanks, no i am all OneDrive, so I have everything Cloud and on the mobile Gallery, but oddly its suddenly decided to shift everything from the Camera folder to another My Post folder, very odd.

I am not sure i have fixed it or figure out how, but I spotted a merge folder setting, turning that off worked, not sure if it was ever on, but each time I take a picture now, then open the Gallery the Camera folder goes a but glitch then OK 😮

Hmmm... have you tried the usual? Restart phone, wipe apps cache? Must be a way to get rid of that bug as it wasn't there before.

Tired a restart will try and app cache clear.
