This drop-down menu feature embedded in samsung phones can't be uninstalled right?

It is always above all other notifications, can't be disabled, it appears with every player you use, authorization to near devices can't be turned off, pretty invasive. Users must be able to turn off authorization, how can we trust that Samsung is not collecting these data? This is privacy violation.

What if I want to use another app to same?Manufacturers should not abuse of their dominant position. This is a clear violation of anti-trust rules.

Dear Samsung developers, make it custumizable right now or this will question will be raised to EU authority.

Take this really serious, and check for other embedded apps too, sure there are many.

@crossflow: To disable the Device control and Media output buttons in the Quick Panel, please follow the steps below.

Swipe from the top of the screen to the bottom, then again to enlarge the Quick Panel > Tap the pencil symbol in the top right > Device control and Media output buttons > Don't show.

I hope this helps.

It doesn't work, media output still there, it's not only my device, you can see here that it's not working for other users too

Again, this is non system-related app and should be customizable. I want to uninstall or disable. Unlock it.

@crossflow: I'm a little confused, as the video linked in your reply shows the user successfully removing the Device control and Media output buttons in the Quick Panel, albeit on an earlier Android version. Are you able to clarify if you're referring to the buttons themselves, or the notification itself which shows your currently playing media?

I'm referring to the overall app "media and devices", both the buttons and the control bar below occupy the notifications area and have access to near devices. Why users can't just uninstall or disable this app?

The app itself is a core functionality of Samsung's OneUI interface. As for any data that is sent to Samsung, this is detailed in their privacy agreement which you can read when setting up your device or from their website. Therefore it is neither a violation of anti trust nor a privacy violation.

"core functionality" lol

No this is not an essential part, the smartphone will work fine without this app.

Samsung privacy agreement cannot overrule DMA and DSA EU regulation, this is a clear violation.

Gatekeepers and manufacturers should allow the user to uninstall apps and choose an alternative.

Bloatware is a plague for the market and for the planet and must be stopped right now.

Samsung has been fined serveral time last years. You will see.

You're right 9.23MB is such a massive amount of bloatware. 😮

do you know cpu/ram/wifi resources to run that unuseful banner overlay all the time? No you don't.

You are here just to contradict people without arguments, you can't answer on how to disable it, you can't answer about DSA, you can't answer anything, then shut up.

Do you know how much 8.23MB is? If you really do, you wouldn't be blowing up over it being bloatware or even better talking about how CPU/RAM it's using...
