Can't add yahoo email account to Samsung email app

I got a new phone and I'm setting up the email app. Some of my email accounts I've been able to add to the Samsung email app. One if particular keeps giving the error "The response was entered incorrectly too many times. Try again tomorrow or go to Help for more options". This error occurred even on my first attempt.

I have tried leaving it for several days and then trying again but still get the same error. The Help is no use (either takes me on a never ending loop or directs me to the steps which I have already followed to add the email account with no success).

I pass the reCaptcha successfully every time and then immediately get the error, don't even get a chance to enter my password

@Clarence1: It is possible that Yahoo email accounts need to be registered in POP3 or IMAP format, which isn't supported in the Samsung Email app. With this in mind, as a workaround, please try heading to Settings > Accounts and backup > Manage accounts > Add account > Personal (POP3) or Personal (IMAP), then follow the on-screen prompts. 

Alternatively, swipe up from your Home screen > Select the Google folder > Gmail > Tap your profile in the top right > Add another account > Yahoo, then follow the on-screen prompts.

Thanks Andrew. I should have mentioned that the other accounts I was able to add to the Samsung email app were Yahoo accounts. I don't understand why this Yahoo account fails.

@Clarence1: Gmail does support Yahoo Mail accounts, so I'm not sure why you have been unable to add the account to your device in this manner. Have you considered using the dedicated Yahoo Mail app, available from the Google Play Store, to see if this helps?

I wasn't referring to the Gmail app. I'm referring to the Samsung email app and that's what I want to use because that's what I'm used to. I have been able to add 3 yahoo email accounts to the Samsung email app but the 4th one fails.

hi.. had same issue in the past, try this, go to yahoo mail on the web, sign in, and select account security, then search generate password, it will appear as 3 blocks of 4 letters, put this in as your password on the Samsung email app, it should then set it up .. good luck

Fantastic this works. Have to add that when adding the account on the Samsung email app you need to select "Other" and then "Manual setup" or you never get the to the step to enter the generated password. I had 4 blocks of 4 letters, enter them including spaces as the password.
