call waiting wont work.

Hi I have a galaxy note 9! 

I have been to my phone settings and switched cal waiting on, I've also typed into my phone *#43# to check if call waiting is on and it is. 

Yet when people ring me, if I'm already on the phone, I don't know others are trying to call me. 

I've checked for answers in the community but nothing is working. 

Any ideas?

Go into Phone dialer and click the three dots on the top, click settings and then supplementary services. within there you should see call waiting, check if its turned on.

I done that and it shows as on but its not working still!

I'm having the same issue it's driving me insane

It doesn't work its telling me failure to read data check sim check wifi ive checked wifi fine checked sim its in no 2 sim it still won' come on

It says you have to hold your finger on the sim that is in your phone when you locate them and it will turn call waiting on but i did that it toggled on but then i was on a call it didnt notify me now ive forgot where to read tge sim card i might go back to my old phone after i spent all that money on a new phone
