I emailed SAMSUNG CEO ,as I was as fed up with No Always on Display brightness. Like everyone else, and getting fed up with it since they did the update software.
The Answer they told me,go to Google Store, then download the Goodlock app.
(Any photo change you want you have to do it with the Gallary not photos)
Then click onto the Good Star at the top.you will see two screens one for Lock screen and other for AOD. Click on to that for the brightness. It will bring back the brightness on the AOD. If you want the other for lock screen use that.
hope this gelp guys!

This is what it looks like on mine too. I have a Galaxy A54. I wonder if it's different on different models.

I believe Good Lock is owned by Samsung. Its wikipedia page shows Samsung Electronics in parenthesis under Good Lock Labs as the developer.

Why the hell is Samsung making things difficult? 😡

This barely makes it brighter. I now have to buy an alarm clock charging station or pay to use a third party app because 1) GoodLock doesn't raise the brightness enough & 2) the free versions of AOD clocks in the Google Play Store are awful. The Samsung AOD clock was perfect the way it was. This bugs the ***** out of me. I'm far from the only one who used this feature as their night clock. What were they thinking?!

Turn off auto brightness to adjust the brightness in lockstar app within good lock.
Why the hell Samsung makes it so difficult I don't know.

Yes, I know & have done this. I was saying that it barely makes it brighter. Samsung took a perfect & widely used function and scrapped it. A clock you can't read is useless. Thank you, though, for responding. I do appreciate it.

Same here. No option for editing AOD.

Good Lock was a nuisance, I uninstalled it. I had to use THEIR lock screen. I never could find lock star or anything to do with AOD. I swiped and swiped every which way, tapped and tapped, delved into the depths, I'm out, I'll just have to **bleep** in the darkness to see what the heck time it is on the dim screen. Fuming.
