I have a Samsung washer dryer, model WD11DB8B85GHU2, and I’ve noticed that the machine is randomly not dispensing detergent.
Approximately 1 out of every 10 cycles, it fails to add detergent. When this happens, the machine takes longer to detect the load before it starts filling with water (which usually sprays). The usual message, “adding detergent,” never appears, and there’s no foam, confirming that detergent isn’t being dispensed.
This issue occurs across different programs, including AI Wash and Cotton Wash. It has reached the point where I have to monitor the machine to ensure detergent is added.
The option to add detergent is indeed selected when this happens and I double-checked already in the machine and in the smart things app.
Since the machine functions properly when the “adding detergent” message appears, I believe this is a software issue rather than a mechanical one.
Has anyone experienced something similar?
