Seal has broken on a SAMSUNG washer less than 6 months old. Advised not under warranty as its a perishable, would not expect it to have perished so soon surely.
I paid upwards of £600 now they want me to pay a few hundred of my own money to have to repaired my washing machine is useless as water empties from it flooding my kitchen when the seal has torn.
Surely it should withstand being loaded and uploaded I have had other brands with no issues. SAMSUNG is suppose to be a well made product not at the cheaper end of the market
How many people need to complain before it's taken as a manufacturing fault. My friends have checked online and seen thus is a recurring issue.

Hi there, did you get it fixed? Part of the rubber seal has come away at the top and I’m wondering how long I will have to wait for it to get repaired.

In response to this, Samsung refused to replace the seal, so had to pay £137. When the engineer came he told me that the problem is when loading the washing, one of the items could be slightly trapped in the door, so when the machine starts up, it rips the item into the machine, taking the bit of the seal with it. In hindsight its a user problem, hard to except!!!

My washer seal broke in the middle of a washing program, and it's only been 15 months since I purchased the washing machine. What should I do now? I need assistance from the community.

Samsung will not cover the repair and if they do organise an engineer to visit and repair it will cost you over £130. I needed my washing machine fixed urgently so took out an insurance policy with Domestic &General (which covers all call outs and associated repairs). The monthly premium is about £6 but I wanted this cover in case it happens again. Samsung are obviously fitting seals that are too flimsy. Far too many customers with this same issue / but they do nothing about it. 🤬

Samsung did cover the seals initially but after having to repair so many they refuse to cover them, citing them as a consumable. Yes, you could go through the ‘not fit for purpose’ route but you have to follow a due process before claiming a replacement or refund. And this is where they get you - because who can do without a washing machine for months in end? So unfair!😡

I've had my washing machine for 3 months and the seal has perished (not fit for purpose). No help from retailer and Samsung are saying not under warranty and the repairer will charge you for the repair.
I've have e-mailed Samsung UK CEO Mr Baumann - ******* and have included a link to this forum and the number of people who are having rubber seal problems.
Lets see what we get back!

Hi Maggz,
I'm currently in a tug of war with the retailer today as they are refusing to budge and say it's the manufacturer, it's a trading standards issue as they are breaching my statutory rights. Let's see how it goes.
