I'll have to look at mine, but I don't think it has the black part on it 🤔

Firstly will say I am not a plumber and try at own risk 😀
Is a wee bit hard to see relative sizes in the photos, but if the black adaptor can come off end of grey pipe, I would try the grey pipe direct on to the white waste connection. If is a bit tight to get on can try putting the end of the hose in a bowl of hot water for a couple of minutes first. If it seems like it will give you a tightish fit I would also seriously recommend fitting a suitable sized Jubilee clip ( want to slide the Jubilee clip loosely over the hose first before you connect it then once hose is on position the clip in the middle of where grey hose is fitted over the white plastic and tighten it up ) Obviously keep an eye on it for leaks for the first couple of times the machine is on
Should have said earlier - make sure you have a decent amount of the grey pipe on to the waste connection - all the way on if possible

So I’ve trimmed the white plastic spigot. Added some fairy liquid to the black hose end then attached. It seems tight. Looks like this.

does it look okay if I add a jubilee clip?

Hmm probably - but yeah would add a Jubilee clip but don't over tighten it then check for any leaks at both ends of the black attachment

We just bought a new Series 5 WW90TA046AX/EU ecobubble to replace a previous ecobubble model we had for ten years. When it came to setup I encountered this exact issue where the factory fitted hose had the same black plastic nozzle as OP's and I also needed to connect it to a 40mm FloPlast hose connector (spigot).

It seems remiss that a brand new machine doesn't ship with a spigot adapter for common UK plumbing, so I wanted to post our solution in the hope that this might help others with the same problem. Without trimming the spigot, I picked up a Plumbsure Rubber Stop end (Dia)19mm pack (£2.29 from B&Q) and two 25mm jubilee clips (£3.49 from B&Q). The thread of the rubber stop end is inserted into the black plastic nozzle on the washine machine hose and secured with the first jubilee clip. The open side of the rubber stop end is then fitted over the FloPlast hose connector (spigot) and secured with the second jubilee clip.

I initially ran a test 15 minute quick wash cycle and adjusted the jubilee clips as needed to ensure that there were no leaks, whilst being cautious not to overtighten. We've now had the new machine running multiple loads for the last fortnight without issue, hope this proves useful for anyone with the same setup.

This well-written post was a life safer. After half a day of trying many different things (using Jubilee clips, buying a new spigot, buying some kind of plastic coupler form B&Q that was completely useless), I finally stumbled on this post with a solution that did work. All in all, the installation was quite the nightmare, simply because Samsung's drain hose does not properly connect to the spigot. I hopeSamsung can solve this for future buyers of their washing machines.

Glad it helped @Niels91, I went through the exact same process as you first and completely agree that Samsung need to resolve this for future customers.
