I have a DV16T8520BV heat pump dryer.

I logged a call under warranty just before it ran out.

Today under warranty 2 engineers came and replaced a large (once piece) substantial section which sits at the bottom of the dryer that everything plugged into. They had to disassemble the dryer and rebuild it over 90 minutes. I assumed it would be like getting a new dryer so much was replaced.

They did all their checks on their app where the dryer passed all the checks

Trying to dry a small load of towels, it still is not drying! only a small amount of water has been collected after running for 4 hours. I unplugged the drain hose at the back and only a few drops of water came out over half an hour

We have a second dryer where everything is working fine, and water is expelled from this same drain hose

I think something is possibly blocked with lint? Between the drum and the bits at the bottom which were all replaced. we dry a lot of towels. Waiting to hear back from the service people but has anyone experienced this and know what the fault could be?

No Ideas?

The engineer has come again and has to contact samsung as he can't understand why the dryer has stopped drying. It is heating up, all the parts that sit at the bottom have been changed he said there isn't much left apart from pcb / drum. He did agree with my suggestion that there was a blockage somewhere but couldn't think what it could be

Just an update incase it helps, the main PCB has been changed but the machine is still not drying. A very small amount of water is collected (tablespoon worth). the Engineer is stumped and says there is nothing else to change.

So to date, the PCB changed, the whole circulation system in the bottom (all the parts below the drum) has been replaced.

He's going back to Samsung technical to get advice - they are the authorised repair company for Samsung in the area
