Touch panel not lighting up or working

Hello, I have a Samsung dryer DV90N8288AX (DV8800) and the front touch panel will not work or light up. the light inside the drum is lighting up though. has anyone come across this?

This just happened to me as well on the exact same model. Did you resolve it or get a replacement part ?

Hello Mike, I managed to fix it by cleaning the contacts on the back of the touch panel. its looks like they were shorting out. 🙂 found a video on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UlawdiqJKE
