Samsung RF8000 Fridge - make ice manually without water feed?

We have a RF8000 fridge set in use for a 5-6 months until an extension is finished and a cold water feed supplied.

In the meantime, is it possible to use the RF8000 to create ice by adding water manually (via jug) or does it have to have the cold water feed to produce ice?

Any assistance really appreciated!
