DV90T8240SX/S1 - Not drying bedding after 2 full cycles

Hi

I'm unable to locate a category for Tumble Dryers! So hopefully this will find a right place.

Before i raise a ticket with Samsung, i thought id try the forum for help.

We have a 'DV90T8240SX/S1' Tumble Dryer ( DV90T8240SX Series 9 Heat Pump Tumble Dryer 9kg | Samsung UK) - cost nearly 1000 pounds, so was supposedly one of the best machines!

However, we have found even after 2 FULL cycles our bedding (fitted sheet and duvet cover) they are still not dry. This doesnt sound right at all.

We have just used our free maintenance check too (provided with Currys) and it is no better.  We've had it for i think 18 months.... and it has always been a problem.

Thanks!

Hi there, @CCForum. I wouldn't expect you to be having this kind of issue with your tumble dryer, so you've done the right thing by reaching out for help. If you've not done so already, I'd recommend following the troubleshooting found in this link

If these steps don't resolve the problem then it'd be best to contact our Home Appliance team, as they'll be able to go through some further troubleshooting with you and, if necessary, arrange for an engineer visit.

If you are in the UK you can call them 0333 000 0333, if you are in Ireland their number is 0818 717 100. Both teams are open 8am to 8pm Mon-Fri, 9am to 6pm Sat-Sun.

If you are located outside of these countries then please click here to find your local Samsung Support team.

well there's your first problem - paying nearly 1000 quid for a tumble dryer.
Second, its a heatpump  dryer and they are the worst for drying sheets, they just get tangled up into a ball due to heat pump dryers not reverse tumbling throughout the drying process  - make sure the next dryer you buy is a condenser one at around 350 quid and they reverse throughout the drying process and are quicker to dry than heatpump dryers :smiling-face:

I think a £1000 tumble dryer should be drying sheets first time, let alone after 2 full cycles - so i think its a valid issue!

But thanks for the future tips.
