Just bought a Samsung MC28H5013AS microwave oven but have had disasters using convection cooking. The food packaging says "pre-heat the oven to 180C and cook for 30-35 minuets" The food is way overcooked even after 20 minuets, should I adjust the cooking temperature or time?

Having attempted it again I think it was user error. I was attempting to set a cooking time after pre-heating but accidentally switched on microwave cooking as well.

Is there a way to set a cooking time after pre-heating because reading the manual it doesn't seem possible which seems a bit strange. The manual says ignore setting the cooking timeif pre-heating the oven.
