Bought a series 5+ DV80T5220TW/S1 just Over 2 years ago and it’s been great but has started taking longer to dry a load and is wet round the door with fluff there also. I clean the filter regularly and the catcher after ever cycle can anyone shed any light on this?
thanks.

I hope this helps others...

I have a Samsung heat pump dryer (DV90M5000EX).  when bought new, this was a very expensive model, but I expected returns with cheap running costs. .

However, for the last few months, my dryer was taking 5+ hours to complete a cycle and was no longer efficient, it was adding at least £2 on my electricity meter.

Its now 2 years old, so out of warranty,

I'm not sure if I am permitted to post links, so I'll just refer you to the author of this youtube video...

I followed a youtube video by "Mr Washy Washy" to strip down my machine.  The title of the video is "Samsung Dryer Not Drying Taking Too Long Fix"

There was lint everywhere (see photos), it genuinely was a fire hazzard.
I feel this must have escaped via the felt seal either at the front of the drum or via the seal at the rear of the drum.
I've decided to renew both seals.

As shown in the "Mr Washy Washy" video I carefully lifted out the compressor and 2 x exchange radiators.

I also cleaned the tray and removed sludge from the trough,  which was under these radiators.

For me, only the first exchange radiator was clogged.
Do not attempt to separate the compressor and 2 x rads.
Treat them very carefully, if the pipes snap, you'll probably write off the machine.

I took it outside CAREFULLY and put a hose on the blocked rads, I and also used tweezers to straighten some of the fins, which I'd bent during recommended weekly cleaning with the samsung supplied brush.  As a final good measure I submerged 2 x rads ONLY in a warm water and 2 sachets of Drain Away (or similar) sink unblocker for 10 mins, this worked really well, all internal gunk deposits were successfully removed.   For clarity, I did NOT submerge the compressor or any electronics, I only submerged the 2 x radiators and their copper pipework.

I'm still waiting for the 2 x seals to arrive, so I can't assemble it just yet, but its looking very nice and clean. I'm confident it'll be back to a 2 hour dry cycle.
