Hi,
I just wanted to report an issue we had with our fridge freezer that I've fixed but could warrant some design changes by Samsung.
We've had this fridge for ~8 years or more and the freezer compartment started to get ice forming under the bottom drawer. This seemed to be coming from behind the rear plastic shroud. On taking this panel off to look at the element and drip tray behind, it was clear that the drain hole at the bottom had become blocked by a black rubbery substance. This seems to be the black protective tape from the compressor feed in that has melted and dripped down through the elements and into the drain hole catchment area.
It took a fair bit of scraping to clean it all out. Photos of the element and the 'slug' attached.
