Does anyone deep clean there washing machine door seals with a hand held steamer?
I was planning on wiping with a micro fiber cloth after each load, but wanted to maybe deep clean once a month with a hand held steamer to stop any nasty oders and potential mould.
I also hoped to do the same with my dishwasher too.

Hi! Welcome to the samsung memebers community. Where I work its very common for people to use steamers to clean their machines door seals. Very good for killing bacteria and keeping the machine fresh. Our kitchen department recommends doing it.

Thank you for the lovely welcome and answer.
Samsung were unable to give me an answer.
Obviously I don't want to damage my new machines but I want to keep them in the best condition not only for the appliances's sake but also for our clothes and plates and cooking stuff.

I can say with certainty that steam shouldn't damage the seals if done correctly- be mindful that constant steaming may cause issues. But once a month shouldn't, not too much but enouth to get rid of any nasty buildup. Finally, use some distance from the seals to the steamer.

And some tips for keeping washing machine clean.
Wipe the inside of that rubber seal down with
If you get mould- Using hydrogen peroxide 2 - 3 times till you have wiped away the mould. Then run the hottest wash cycle you can with some vinegar. Leave the door open after the entire wash cycle is over. Use a moisture absorber like 'Damp Rid' between wash cycles.

A few years back a different manufacturer Haier made their washing machines with an anti-mould door gasket , that was a good idea I think and it would have been great if other washing machine manufacturers adopted that idea on their washing machines.

don't forget other parts of the machine can suffer terribly from mould and bacteria too. we have a Samsung WW90T534 , the soap dispenser drawer and its housing gets absolutely terrible  with mould if you don't keep on top of it.

do take note of the drum cleaning programme and do that when its needed as the action of the drum and duration and the temperature will also help keep the door gasket clean as well as cleaning the inner and outer drum tub.

Thank you, the one I have ordered has a drawer clean function but I will certainly be deep cleaning the drawer and the housing on that also, they get so so grimy.
I also plan on using for my dishwasher around the seals and when I clean the filter too.
I have been covetting new samsung appliances for nearly 4 years and now I have been an to afford them I will be taking extra special care of them.
I just need to decide on A) a quality steam cleaner and B) suitable liquid detergent for the auto dose function 🥳 (sorry I'm just so excited to own them, sorry jts a little sad to be so excited over a machine)

Thats OK I can understand you being excited - there is nothing wrong in that at all. Oh so its a AutoDose machine you are getting - same as mine , regardless of what says on leaflets and web site info's I havent found it to have a stay clean drawer with specially placed jets to keep the drawer clean - I think its a mistake in advertising info and that was the non auto-dose models that have the stayclean drawers feature , but I could be wrong.

This is the one I've ordered, WW11DB7B94GEU1 I've checked on AO.com Boot kitchen appliances and they both say it has stay clean drawer function, I'm worried now, but it arrives tomorrow so not much I can do about it now, I'm sure it'll all be fine though, if it doesn't it'll be a shame but I love everything else it has. So I'm sure I'll love it just the same, and if it doesnt I'll just make sure I pay more attention to the drawer and clean it more regularly.
