My washing machine has stopped mid cycle and i cannot get it to start again and the door is locked. I cannot supply my serial number therefore I can't book a repair! Absolutely astonished that this is not possible. How do I supply the serial number if I can't open the machine. I also can't pull the machine out from the unit as it is heavy and I am in my mid 70s

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community!

Unplug it for about 5 minutes and plug it back in. This should stabilize the lock—if it's full of water, you may need to drain it; there should be a latch to unscrew.

Also, you could try a live chat or phone call and ask for assistance on the best course of action.

Thanks for that. It's been unplugged for over an hour and plugged back in but nothing. I have drained it already to check if anything was stuck in the filter. I've changed the fuse and even plugged it into another socket. I can't get on to live chat because it keeps asking for my serial number and I phoned them and asked for a call back about an hour ago - nothing

Did you register the washing machine for warranty and stuff?

Also are you able to post a picture of the lcd screen?

Machines normally have child lock ON to prevent opening doors mid cycle.

My neighbour has come round and pulled the machine out so I now have the serial number - thanks for your help it's appreciated
