'American style" fridge freezer stopped making ice cubes

We have a Samsung RS7778FHCSR from 2015.

It's a model with freezer to the left and fridge to the right.

In the left side there is also a section with cold water and icecubes.

Suddenly two days ago - the fridge stopped making icecubes. No change in water supply, everything else works fine - it simply doesn't make ice cubes anymore (basket is now empty).

Can this device making ice cubes be changed? Can it be bought seperately - and any idea about the cost?

A new fridge freezer is more than 1.000 euro, and it's silly to throw it out if it can be repaired.
