I am having this same issue! since 5/24/2024 I really hope this gets fixed soon. I was hoping an update would fix it but I can't even update because it needs wifi to update apparently!

I contacted support, they made me make all the silly troubleshooting and directed me to repair the phone.
I'm starting to thin, having seen so many people reporting this issue, that it is not a software failure but a bad quality hardware.
Either through a software update, stress or just time, it goes bad.
I dont know if they do that so you upgrade the phone, since they were not short of offering me all kind of discounts to upgrade to the surveillance AI model.
I've been using samsung since the first smartphone came to the market.
I'm not sending this one to repair, I'm not buying a new one since the privacy on samsung it is trash, so they give me no option.
I'll look for a different manufacture that value its customers and privacy.

UPDATE: a month later the camera stop working, and now the phone doesn't even start.
This is a SCAM.
Given Samsung's response to these issues, I will start looking into initiating a class action lawsuit.

for something that is apparently unusual, a lot of people seem to be experiencing it. This includes me. I love my fold but I am extremely frustrated with it at present. My connection to my home WiFi is erratic at best and does not last long term if the phone is left on but unused. I have tried to access the recovery menu but it never appears so I cannot access that solution. I do not want to do a factory reset - there is too much to lose. Given that this issue appears to have been happening for some months now, surely Samsung can build and push out a patch to correct it? It doesn't seem like a huge ask.
