Z FOLD 4 ISSUE AFTER UPDATING

Had the z fold 4 for a year now, no issues what so ever, but now since the recent update I have noticed that when turning the phone to landscape mode (volume and lock button to bottom) I'm now getting a thin black line running from top to bottom of the screen about an inch in from the righthand side, it's most noticeable on lighter screen apps and definitely on the camera view finder, portrait mode fine but rotate to landscape it's back, anyone else had or got this issue, and how did you resolve it.

It would be worth Wiping the Partition Cashe on the phone.
Always recommend after any software updates

Wiping the Partition Cashe clears out a lot of old or corrupted information that can cause issues

Follow the steps below. You must follow every step and you should be done in about a minute

Turn off your phone.

Connect your phone with a USB cable
to PC or another Samsung mobile

You will see the charging icon on your screen.
Wait till it shows charging with battery percentage.

Next, press and hold the Volume up and Side key simultaneously.
You can press the volume up button just before the Side key.
The Samsung Logo followed by
Samsung Galaxy appears on the
screen.

At this point, release the keys
Phone will boot into Android Recovery mode

In Android recovery mode, using Volume keys, choose "Wipe Cache
Partition" .
Use the power button to accept that.
You will then see its cleared.

Then the top option, reboot phone.
Press the power button to reboot the phone and then sign in normally

I am facing other issues like applications that were working properly now get stuck. Need to shut down everything to being able to open the application. This is related with metatrader 5 and the new update from Samsung. Nothing is working as before

After I updated the software on January 31, 2024, suddenly there is a bright green line on my phone screen. Why did it happen?

I am having issues every time I unfold my phone. Once unfolded, everything will work well enough for about 2 seconds, but then I get the black screen of death. I close my phone and I still have the black screen of death on the front screen. After a a few minutes my screen will turn back on, and it will appear to function fairly well, but with a draining battery, and then when I receive or make a call I can hear nothing. The caller can hear me but I can't hear anyone. After restarting, my phone will work fine as long as I don't unfold it, which defeats the purpose of having a Fold. 

I have cleared the cache and repaired the apps in recovery mode. I have also uninstalled all Google Play updates. 

I have never dropped this phone or gotten it wet and the phone was working perfectly the day before the update installed overnight. 

Is this a video memory problem? 

I'm open to any suggestions.

Have same black frozen screen on my Z3 Fold after installing the newest February update f926usqs5hxac. It boots when open, but when folding it freezes ... if I open it and then call it the screen will wake up... After opening and folder a few times my bluetooth watch is disconnected and phone is absolutely fried. A cold boot fixed it intermittently but have to keep phone opened and can't open it. When using the camera I can turn on the front screen for previews so the screen is working. The phone was fine before I updated it today. ... hopefully a fix will appear soon ...

I'm having exactly the same issue updated my fold 4 yesterday and now every time I open my fold it's black screen and if it does work out of every 20 times I try it's all moves mega slow and laggy but the smaller outer screen is fine no issues before I did the software update phone hasn't been dropped or anything anyone found a solution I don't wanna factory reset

Having the same issue here. Did the update and now the phone turns off everytime we close. Any suggestions would be most appreciated the phone is just over a year old.

Well, I tried everything I could think of:

  • I submitted a bug with Google (Android) and received no response
  • I called my carrier for assistance with uninstalling the update and they were no help either
  • I called Samsung but I had already done all of the troubleshooting that they were going to suggest. They of course told me that I would need to buy a new phone.

Ultimately, I had to utilize my insurance and they didn't even try to fix the phone, but rather do a buy back option where they just gave me the money back that I had spent buying the phone initially (minus the taxes) and I spent that getting a new phone. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
