Z FOLD 4 ISSUE AFTER UPDATING

Had the z fold 4 for a year now, no issues what so ever, but now since the recent update I have noticed that when turning the phone to landscape mode (volume and lock button to bottom) I'm now getting a thin black line running from top to bottom of the screen about an inch in from the righthand side, it's most noticeable on lighter screen apps and definitely on the camera view finder, portrait mode fine but rotate to landscape it's back, anyone else had or got this issue, and how did you resolve it.

I have the same issue when opening my Samsung fold 4, anyone got any simple solutions.
Thin black line and it's none responsive, when opened.

With each security update, my front screen freezes on my Z-fold 4. I can see everything but the touch screen does not work. First time, after a month, I took it a repair store. They ordered a new front glass but they could not fix it. After the following security update it started working. Received a new update today and the front screen

did not work again. I powered off and did a restart. Now it is working again. Samsung needs to fix this issue - very frustrating.

This has also happened to me since updating my software yesterday. EXACTLY the same as you are experiencing. I have tried backing up my data into smart switch pc and then resetting my fold 4 multiple times until I Got my sound back. I am now restoring my data into my phone in the hope that when I unfold it I won't get the black screen of death. This is extremely annoying.

I am having this exact issue as well. It's been an issue since December 2023. Clearing the system UI app cache worked for a few minutes and the inner screen worked perfectly but it failed again the next time the phone was picked up.

Wiping the cache partition did nothing at all.

This is clearly a software issue (we had thought the screen failed, but we saw it was working after the UI cache was cleared).

Now I'm just angry, and after 20 years of being a Samsung phone devotees, my husband and I are done. I'm happy to try new technology and allow for improvements. But, not when a company won't admit fault and fix the issues when they are reported.

It's still under warranty in NZ, but given Samsung has no global repair policy and we're now in the US, we would have to pay for a repair of around $500. Nope.

This is shocking and outrageous behavior by Samsung. I have a Fold 5 and my husband's Fold 4 is the one that's been broken for over 6 months. Getting rid of the 5 and fixing and selling the 4. Good bye Samsung!

New update,Samsung quote me 400usd and without any explanation.my inner screen will go black when I open the inner screen and take photo.it only happened after 6.1 update. And now they require me to pay for it and replace hardware without any explanation

I did the steps and worked for awhile, now I have to do the step for hours , even after factory rest, the system won't reboot right away.

I personally believe samsung does this with updates on purpose and a class action is warranted
