Samsung repair/technician when I sent it back said it was a screen issue implying I broke it but it happened after the update. The repair ticket had out of warranty and a charge

That's what I had from Ingram Micros their authorised repair agents. I did reply last night but for some reason it hasn't posted. I'm going back to the retailer on this one. Not fit for purpose in my opinion.

My phones been gone almost 2 weeks. Took me probably 7 days of going back and forth with them. Then finally had to wait for a manager to call. I would skip if they tell you to go to a local repair center they are no help. Then go straight to a manager once you get that repair receipt emailed over to you..or bill not receipt. You'll ha e to talk to a person at call center but they are no help so immediately request a manager to call back. Explain how this happened after the update and you are on these blogs that this is currently happening to many new flip 6 owners. Hopefully they waive the fee as well. They have to be getting g a ton of calls about this issue at this point. I hope it gets easier for everyone and our phones work after this fix. I really do like the phone but *****..feels like it's something every update. Ugh

Yesterday, my screen started having a few times there would be horizontal lines of what I would call "snow" or "static" distortion. I would close the phone reopen it, and it seemed to resolve. This morning, closing the phone caused it to go black, with only the outer screen working.
After some searching, I found that the hard reset (power + down volume) didn't help if the phone was open. But more than once, using the outer screen to perform a Restart and leaving it closed during the restart seems to get the main screen working again. Also, the main screen continues to work as long as I don't close the phone again.
With the main screen working, I made sure to set up all the imperative apps that I could to function on the outer screen, just in case. That includes using the Labs features in Settings and the Launcher from Multistar.
Hope this helps someone be able to get by while we wait for a fix!!
