Whatsapp calls muting when screen locks

Hi,

I recently got a Z Flip 5 and have noticed that when on a Whatsapp voice call, if the screen locks/dims whilst on the call, the call automatically goes mute.  I can't hear them and they can't hear me.  As soon as I unlick the phone, we can hear each other again.  It's really annoying, and I have to keep the screen 'active' to stop it happening.  I've checked battery optimisation etc and everything is switched to unrestricted.

same... worked fine on my S10, just changed to an S24+ and whatsapp calls are now unusable

This happens to me on my S8 when my daughter calls. I extended the screen time out but will try just tapping the screen. Thank you

Uninstall whatsup and install again. This worked for me

its just a new setting in Android. just unselect it and it works.
