I have a Z Fold 4. I am just curious into why it is not possible using 2 esims at once, where one may be used for data and the other for phone calls and texts. Is this a device or software limitation? As it is possible to use a physical sim and eSim together.

@Gu11master: The Galaxy Z Fold4 supports dual SIMs, with SIM1 being a physical nano-SIM, while SIM2 can be another physical SIM, or an eSIM. With this in mind, support for dual eSIMs is a device limitation.

Depending on your model of phone. Sim 1 usually gets "sim slot1" and sim 2 gets "sim slot2". The esim usually gets "sim slot2".
Meaning you can have a real sim in slot 1 and either a real or esim in slot 2. Thats how your phone works. The esim is tied to slot 2 only.
On my s25u, the esim can use both slots. So I can use 1 real 1 esim or 2 esims. It's a technical limitation of some devices where the esim can only use slot 2
