Ui 5.1 update z fold 4 continually freezing and getting black screen

So best would be to back up and try format the phone. But not sure how to backup whole phone.

What are your current, "Build number", and, "Service provider software version"?

(Go to Settings > About phone > Software information)

Is your phone rooted?

Definitely mother phone isn't rooted or anything in these lines. Idk about the other ones. I think she's busy with something now.

Same issue here: can use internal screen till play any media - than it goes black (sometimes making loud shriek) and phone is unresponsive. After a minute cover screen works again but there is no sound anymore at all. When opening, everything goes black again. Restart brings back the sound but only till I open phone.
Tried soft reset and clearing cache.
It just randomly happened two days ago, strange...

Same, hope it's software and can get fixed. Samsung say my warranty is void due to a dent in the back plate close to the hinge.

Oh, that's a shame. I sent mine for repairs and they sent back a new device. Although it was strange: no paperwork, no explanation, nothing, just a phone in protective packaging.

Maybe I'll try send mine off instead. How long did it all take? Also did you have any scratches at all?

I think 7 days in total. It was pretty much in pristine condition though.
