Hello, I’d like to report a problem that appeared after the latest system update for my Galaxy Flip 6. Since the update, my home screen has been freezing, glitching, and sometimes going completely black. I’ve tried restarting, clearing the cache, and rebooting, but nothing seems to work. My hardware is in great condition, and this issue started right after the update.

I’ve reached out to support, but haven’t had any luck so far, and I’m really frustrated. I spent a lot of money on this phone, and it's acting like this after an update. Has anyone else experienced this issue, or does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it?

I’m hoping for some guidance or help from others who may have dealt with this.

Thanks in advance!

@Delsketch: If the issue is persistent then I recommend restarting your Galaxy Z Flip6 in Safe mode, as this will disable all third party apps and help to determine if the problem is stemming from an external source.

To enter Safe mode, press and hold the Power button until the 'Power off' prompt appears on the screen then release > Touch and hold Power off until the 'Safe mode' prompt appears then release > To confirm, tap Safe mode.

With Safe mode active, monitor the performance of the device for a few hours, based on the frequency that you encounter the issue. If you find that the issue is not present, then please restart your Z Flip6 as you would normally and uninstall any apps that you have added to the device since you first encountered the issue. It won't be possible to determine exactly which app is at fault, therefore we recommend approaching this via a process of elimination.

If the problem persists then please submit an Error Report via the Samsung Members app, as this will allow our team of experts to take a deep dive into the software and hardware to see if there are any issues that might be affecting the performance of the device.

To do this, please head to the Members app > Support > Send feedback > Error reports > Tap 'OK' to send System Log Data > Select the symptom, and include as much detail as possible. To ensure your logs accurately reflect the issue you're experiencing, we'd like you to submit your report within 5 minutes of encountering the problem. Our engineers will then investigate this and respond to you with a solution via the Members app.

Yep, almost a week ive been having these issues. My handset is only 4 months old and not a mark on it so I know it has to be that latest software update. Just had to start keeping my phone open at all times so that it actually works. Flip phone that I can't Flip 🙄

I did the Safe mode thing a day ago and it made the situation worst, now i can only access my apps via voice command. I cannot enter the members app because like i mentioned, my home screen is useless since the recent update.

Yesterday, I had latest update installed on my Galaxy 21. This morning my phone went into black screen and was not responsive to reboot. It gave me an option to call an emergency and also had a faint arrow at the bottom right corner of the screen. I tried plugging charger in and pressing both buttons until it gave me the safe mode option. It then managed to restart. What do I do now? Is my phone still in a safe mode or is it working as it supposed to? I would have thought that latest technology should be more reliable.

I got the same issues in Feb right after the new f...  update! I don't like the idea that Samsung forcing customers to do these stupid updates every month that are messing my phone and even breaking it. Samsung MUST take ALL responsibility for their actions and fix it immediately. I hope Samsung read their customers feedback and trying to do something, there are too many complaints, otherwise the customers would sue the company and leave it forever.

Samsung, get your *** updates away from OUR phones!!! How old versions of Samsung phones were working without every month updates and were ok for years! My old Samsung A5 is still working WITHOUT any Samsung updates for years! And test first new updates that Samsung creates every months BEFORE asking your customers to accept updates!
