Too many ads

Hi please can you help other than factory reset how can I stop these ads my husband is getting them every 2 mins and he's getting sooo frustrated. Tha k you in advance

What app are the ads on please

It literally is on everything

If it is on apps that are not Samsung apps then I'm afraid you'll need to reach out to the app developers.

Example.....

YouTube is full of adverts unless you have their paid subscription.

Same with Netflix with ads.

Hi @mariandgary. I fully understand how annoying ads can be, so if you're getting them all the time then your frustration is more than justified. 

May I ask, does your husband get these pop-up ads only while he is online (i.e. while using a web browser or app), or does he also get them while on the phone's Home screen, or while navigating through the phone's Settings?

Thank you. All the time even when he is on the homescreen. We have deleted YouTube and netflix and most of the 3rd party apps but it's still happening.

Something is running in the background I reckon.

I would follow the excellent advice from @BandOfBrothers below. If that doesn't work then.....

I would back up Messages, Images and Videos then Factory Data Reset.

Don't use back up to put apps back on. Go to Play Store and download what he needs.

Also make sure he is only using Play Store and not side loading apps via apk's.

I think there is a rogue app on the device myself. Samsung doesn't fill devices with ongoing adverts
