Hey I use the tilde key a lot when typing and the newest phone now when I type it, it connects to the previous letter and adds accents. For example o becomes ó.

I need to know how to disable this as all options I'm finding in the keyboard section aren't working.

@DDry: I wasn't able to recreate this issue while using the Samsung Keyboard. Do you have English selected as your input language (Settings > General management > Samsung Keyboard settings > Language and types). Also, is 'Numbers and symbols' set to 'QWERTY'?

Please note that if you press and hold a letter, then a series of accented options will appear, which may be what's causing the problem you're describing. With this in mind, please try lightly tapping the letters as you enter them to see if you notice an improvement.

Language is English, all other languages are turned off, auto correct is turned off, all options for type assist are turned off.

Hi, I, too, am unable to replicate your issue. I'm also using the Samsung keyboard with just the UK language. Unfortunately, your photo is too out of focus to see what's going on. Can you please try posting a better photo.
