Can anyone tell me why my sim card is only registering to sim 2 and not sim 1 where it should be

Thats the same with me since I got s23 base model so weird
I shouldn't think it should be an issue as long as your network services working

Do you have the sim card in Sim 1 slot in the phones sim tray?

It's in the sim tray but it's automatically set it to sim 2 and I can't change it

Strange, but is the sim card in the sim tray "sim 1" or did you put the sim card in "sim 2" in the sim tray?

If you don't know you can put a sim card on either side of the phones sim tray, one side is sim 1 the other side is sim 2.

Is your Fold a US version? The non US versions are dual SIM whereas the US version only has single SIM.

If you have a dual SIM version and your SIM is showing as SIM 2, then you need to put the SIM card in the opposite side of the SIM tray. If you look at the SIM tray, you'll see it labelled which side is SIM 1 and SIM 2. Typically face up is 1 and behind is 2.
